Start-Up Edition 22 – 26 September 2026, Montréal

Launching in autumn 2026, MusiConfluences will grow to be the premier gathering for music professionals across the Americas and beyond.

Created to unite voices from every corner of the music ecosystem—across genres, sectors, and borders—this inclusive event will foster innovation, professional growth, and cultural exchange through dynamic programming, collaborative spaces, and a shared sense of purpose.

What is it and why is it necessary?

MusiConfluences will be an annual convening designed to facilitate cross-border, cross-genre, and cross-sector connections—responding to the urgent, evolving needs of the music ecosystem.

MusiConfluences aims to break down silos and spark meaningful transformation. Collaboration is not just valuable—it’s essential. When music professionals connect across boundaries, they unlock synergies that spark innovation, fuel inclusivity, and drive sustainable growth.

MusiConfluences innovative strategy, thoughtful design, and inclusive implementation will foster partnerships, encourage artistic cross-pollination, enhance professional mobility, and promote cultural exchange—ultimately benefiting both the Canadian and international music ecosystems.

What will it do?

  • Provide business, artistic, and networking opportunities not possible at sector or regional meetings.
  • Create a gathering place for connection, synergies, and inspiration.
  • Evolve each edition in direct response to the needs of the music ecosystem.
  • Prioritize professional development via engaging conference sessions. These will offer stimulating and practical content through interactive formats.
  • Every participant will have the chance to express themselves, share their insights, and learn, ensuring an enriching experience.

Who is it for?

Music professionals from across the entire ecosystem: performing artists, composers, presenters, publishers, music export offices, music information centers, educators, managers, agents, streaming platforms, labels, media, and music for social change initiatives.

The event embraces a wide range of genres, from Western/European classical (including opera and art music theatre) to global classical traditions such as Indian, Asian, and Middle Eastern, Indigenous traditional and inspired music, new music, electronica, jazz, and improvised art music, creating a dynamic, welcoming, and inclusive space for artistic, educational and business exchange.
